In 1905 a group of farmers from Grant County, Minnesota settled in the small town of Hartland ND. It was there where they decided to form a county mutual insurance company and named it Grant Farmers Mutual. After many years of success, the company took on mergers with two other companies and became Hartland Mutual Insurance Company.

The financial strength of our company has grown to 2.9 billion dollars of risk in force with 4.4 million dollars in premium volume. We insure over 5,000 policy holders in North Dakota who take pride in being a part of our great company!
